TFoF gets mention in Islands Connection.

I think perhaps the newspaper is trying to save face by implying people should have realised they were having a joke but IMO it is a stupid thing for a newspaper to do, there will be some who are thousands of miles away and read the paper online so have no idea the day is similar to 1st April.

I also think it is extremely rude trying to cover their faux pas by commenting on peoples reactions and actually naming them. Perhaps they need another Reactions publication about how we frequently open our mouths and put both feet in!!

It must have caught a few out...

But not the Spanish obviously, which is what the Canarian Weekly are suggesting by saying 'Spanish speaking'. Guess it will be one of those younger so called journalists who often have trouble with their Mother tongue and simple facts.


It's a fools joke just like the spaghetti trees etc which come out in our press on our Fools day so as such I see nowt wrong with it and the the paper should be saying you thicko's instead of apologising.

Well I read the paper and almost was fooled!!!!!. However on reading the other pages It was said to be a joke.
