Re: Scotch chippie
Fish and chip shops have a long tradition up here ever since the "'Tallies" started coming over from Italy. But it seems they originated first in England in the recognisable form we know today...BBC Magazine

When I was a boy my mum and I were usually on our own on a Saturday night and she would send me on my bike down to Dalkieth for our supper , the last thing she would say was " mind and get it oot the tallies"

Have we been reported yet as being racist. Or is our reporter selective about who he sees us being racist against

They opened a new one in Dunfermline recently and I got the breaded special fish. Yumtastic! Nearly £7 though for fish and chips.

Re: Scotch chippie
I could sit in a restaurant and get a main meal for that price! I mean their overheads aren't high...2 pages of the Daily Express and a bit of wax proof paper. ...you've got me going now, I've seen a lot of places charging for the brown sauce as well! (And that's vinegared down as well).
They'll start charging for those little wooden fork thingys next.
