    I don't get this. We don't get discounts for flying to and from the islands in Scotland or anywhere in the UK for that matter. And if it comes down to distances involved, we don't get discounts for flying to Gibralter or the Falkland Islands either Resident flight discount row escalates. 1483819851...Island Connections

    No but the ferries to and from the isles are fairly heavily subsidised though

    Again, the Canarys are heavily subsidised on this too...(From Tenerife weekly) Link

    Edit: Remember there are really only 7 Islands involved in the Canarys, Scotland has scores of inhabited Islands.

    I can understand it for people going to work on other islands, but flights ? nah, Also i think you should prove your going to work, Seems a ton of money tho,
