I would love one, asked the wife if she fancied getting a cheap second hand one for the summer but NO lol. I remember one year doing a shift at work, driving from 7pm til 3am, coming home and filling the back of my Vectra with the camping gear then driving straight down through France to a little village about 20miles outside of Paris. I don't know how I managed to keep my eyes open.
Had to travel 355 miles to dover before we even started lol. Will have tofind them photos and do a review of that holiday.

Sounds familiar that's what OH said when he wanted one, the cheap second-hand one was rubbish and after 3 months we ended up with a 25K one, but it lasted years and was brilliant. Went all over Europe and in the UK most weekends we would get away even if just a few miles down the road.

I had one in the early Eighties. Home made jobbie with a pop-up roof. Maroon. We used to go down to Costra Brava in it with the first lot of kids. Brilliant. No fridge, no shower, no toilet, just a water supply and a little stove, bunks for the kids and 4" sponge bed for us. Even had curtains One man and his camper van, 3025408739 not that it mattered, we used to shag on the beach anyway. We soon got used to the old Spaniards doing a spot of voyuering. Carefree happy days......

Yeah, but you never forget the first Reg. I have had numerous over the years. You can see the dudes parked up on the sea front in Medano in the old Merc 508s, (had one of them too). Of course the one to have now is the old box shaped VW LTs but decent ones are few and far between now. Currently converting a Peugeot Boxer.....I know, not the same class is it. But it will probably start in the morning. One man and his camper van, 3025408739
