The moon doesnt crash into the Earth Cam so I think it may be ok on that score. However I suspect the tides would be a bit out of control so we would all drown anyway.

Causes gravitational pull on the seas, thats why they vary.

also why we have Equinox tides(spring tides).
Some also believe a bit of the bermuda triangle theory is to do with freak graviational pull. Splitting of the sea and white walls, ships dropping off the sea. Some say it could be a freak pull that causes a barrier wave, ships on top sail off and planes flying at close to sea level go straight in to the sea wall and gone. Fact is no one knows as all who would have experienced it died. It would also have been for a maximum of a few seconds. Anyone who has been deep sea in a Hurricane force storm will have experienced being up well above the rest of the sea and then way down below the height of it, great experience, but you can see where the miff comes from.
