Just rang my daughter to find out when OH is going to be in pub and she informs me he has been called to above. He has actually sold the boat that he has there a few months ago but he is keeping an eye on it for the new owner. No damage to that one apparently but at least 4 have been severely damaged and fire brigade had to restrain an owner from attempting to put out the fire on his craft. Sounds like me, feck waiting for that lot to turn up. Action stations! There is a hose there. Anyway, get more news later I should imagine.

No you thickos, boats on dry land in a compound innit. Anyway Roy, son in law was already there anti-fouling boat in yard when he smelt rubber burning. Upon investigation discovered boat alight and could hear a voice which he thought was on board. Next second big explosion going upwards from said boat, mast comes crashing down over adjacent boats and all hell breaking loose. Next he discovered that blokes voice he heared (owner of said boat) was safe on other side of boat he then dialled 999 on his mobile. Apparently it took a good 15 mins for Howards mates to arrive from Fakenham by which time all adjacent boats were well alight too. Moral of story, buy Grandad a mobile........
