First Cut

So Dermo had his first cut today. This is very late. I had a dead fish in the pond this morning, the fish are usually feeding well by now and on the surface. They are deep again, although they were up and feeding a few weeks back, they think its winter again. The one that died didn't follow the rest and stayed shallow.
Dafs are very late, no cowslips, not even leaves on most trees.
The cold weather is hotting nature heavy in the UK.
When in Tenerife last year we saw the mess the fires had left. The trees were Black and looked awful. We went up Teide a few weeks back and the trees are still black in the trunk and all old branches, but they have beautiful new shoots and branches.
Amazing how plant and animal life can adapt to its climate.

The days are getting warmer though, won't be long now before the green stuff starts showing. Me and Mermaid saw a red squirrel yesterday, cute little fella. Each time we go away we look for them and never see them, then when you least expect it, one runs in front of you. Beautiful.

We have seen one in our street two years in a row now, hope he or family still about.
