We are having a bit of a shindig next week as we are leaving the UK soon and got some meat today from local Butcher.
6kg Gammon was 25 quid
4kg Turkey Crown was 14 quid
and we bought a selection of their own made sausages, various flavours, 40 sausages 10 quid.
This is super value and quality meat, if we got it at a supermarket I would be worried about the quality, the cost would be more and the freshness would be far less.
I know we all use supermarkets for convenience but they are not as cheap as it would appear.
I got 4 bags overflowing with fruit and Veg at the market on Wednesday for 26 quid, this is all still very useable and the quality is great, week before bought a couple of items, half a bags worth in Tesco, 8 quid, threw some away after 2 days.
I will hopefully continue to shop using markets and local Butchers in Tenerife.
