What are your favourite films?

Looking at another thread it seems that The Shawshank Redemption is up there with the greats but what other films do you rate.

For me the list is long, but the ones that immediately spring to mind are (in no particular order)
The Sting
Deliverance
Zulu
Papillon
American History X
Fight Club
Angel Heart

On the lighter side
Chicago
Cabaret (well not really light)

Papillion for me book and film.
Star Wars, when it first came out just unbelievable and so far ahead of its time.
Ben Hur
I like the Sting too Gypsy, first movie I went to where the audience stood up and clapped.
Last temptation of Christ.
Les Mis
The Great Rock and Roll sex swindle, simply for the humour content and musak.
The Mask
The wizard of Oz
Mary Poppins
One flew over the Cuckoos
Green Mile
and of Course, Shawshank.

Ooh interesting well for me up there with Shawshank is Stand by Me, great film.

The Mask - that isn´t the one with Cher is it? I liked that but not seen the Jim Carrey film as I don´t really like him!!

I like "27 dresses" and "A walk to remember" a lot.
Both are love story based movies with inspirational ideas in them, you can imagine yourself there with their situations.
so for me both the movie can be rated 10/10.

Rohit, if you like a Walk to Remember then take a look at The Notebook, you will love it if you can see it through the tears.
