I want to say a great big thank you to Cru.

We had a bad day today, Jim was coming to collect me from our Ladies wot Lunch and in taking avoiding action from another car he managed to right off not one but two tyres on the car. Pete came backwards and forwards to see if he could help bring a foot pump but the tyres had huge holes in them. Cru and Pete lent us their car to go to Chafiras and get two new tyres and then when we got back to our car put the new ones on the engine wouldn't start, not flooded because the whole process took us about 3 hours so would have dried out by then - we were stuck in Palm Mar, but our good friend came to the rescue and gave us her car so we could get home to our doggies. Not sure what will happen tomorrow, she is going to ask a neighbour who is a mechanic if he can take a look so at the moment life is in the lap of the gods. But it could have been a lot worse if we did not have such a good and kind friend. If you are reading this Thanks Hun, you are a gem xxx

There is probably a fuel cut-off sensor that might possibly have been triggered by the bump. Have a look in the cars manual. Might show where it is. It would explain its sudden unwillingness to start....

Thanks guys you always come up trumps. Pete is going to have a look at the car this morning based on Vinces suggestion so fingers crossed.

PS: Vince if you are right and manage to save us a garage bill Jim will meet up with you to buy you a couple of drinks.

Uncross Vince, it was exactly as you said and Pete found the switch and pressed it and we have all systems go. So what is your favourite tipple, Aqua con Gas, Fanta Limon, Coca Cola

Yeah well done youze lot, but no one saved the tyres by pointing out the holes were where you stick air in, four beers Jim owes me.

Lesson to be learnt here, never put the new tyres on the kerb side!

Absolutely not. However I have done it occasionally myself and damaged a tyre, hence the advice. Of course we now have the ever present potholes to avoid too, and speed humps!
