Communications satellite "Astra 2E" delivered to Baikonur to run on the carrier rocket "Proton"

Telecommunications satellites Astra 2E / «Astra 2E", made EADS Astrium (France) to order satellite operator SES (Lyukskemburg) came to Baikonur to prepare for the launch on the carrier rocket "Proton-M" (upper stage "Briz-M ").
Transport aircraft AN-124 Astra 2E spacecraft and ground support equipment (IEE) has landed at the airport "Jubilee" spaceport in the morning of June 14.
A few hours later, after the customs check and unloading at the destination airport, the container with the spacecraft and HBO on the inner rail line was taken to the launch site assembly and testing building pad 92A-50 launch site.
The spacecraft will set a bench in the finishing chamber 103 Mica, where in the next few days it will begin self test. They include a series of electrical and functional inspections, and refueling unit propellants.
