As said ugly and useless, everywhere you go there they are poking out of the ground and most of the time stationary, what the point of them, you need conventional back up power stations for when there's no wind, just read the other day that even when it is windy the company's that own the turbines regularly get paid not to run them as the conventional power stations have to be running to meet demand and there is no need for the insignificant amount of power these blots on the landscape provide...
No, I'm not anti green, just think these ugly useless things are the wrong answer, tidal power, now there's something, barriers, ok could be deemed as visually obtrusive, but a little promoted system, under water turbines, we're surrounded by water, and tidal flows differ around the country so they never stop unlike the wind, plus they can be submerged, so no eyesores...
