Re: With or Without You
This was the closing tune in the Irish Times for years, when Derek and Gerry were together. Mikey the barman used to get up and sing it while Gerry had a pint. Feckin' brilliant!

Re: With or Without You
Their patter was what made that place Reg, they were great together, it was a sad day when they split up.Underdog wrote:Hello lovely couple, where are you from," Leeds" - Leeds ?, Theres somebody else from leeds over here. Do you know them Pure irish
Derek
used to say "Where you from Campbell?" Fife says I. "Fife! That's where
they make bananas" and the crowd would crack up.Or "Where you from?"
Kent. "What did you call me?" Brilliant times Reg. I miss the old Irish
Times.

Re: With or Without You
Happy days for sure, all derick said was "Jesus", Come come in, plenty of room, some chairs over here, moira bring some more chairs from the patio, You needed a drink before you went in, Because you knew you were going to be centre stage, Also young children dancing at 2 am, nobody seemed bothered, Mad house it was, I liked being served though, Staff looked after you. The bar was hopeless. and small,

Re: With or Without You
One of their better songs in the last few years but for me, U2 sold their soul after The Joshua Tree.
