Aye I'm am Apple addict and not just the ones to keep the doctor away either
Having worked with Apple products all my working life can confidently say I've never encountered any of these 'issues' that allegedly 'dog' apple products.
As for security I don't share any photos via wifi or on any of the cloud storage stylee facilities on offer, just disable it on handset and download manually, as with any internet its about what you put out there simply don't share stuff.
