Re: Some sort of triumph?
I think its a Mayflower, A razor edge one at that, due to its sharp lines, They also did a Renown too,
So either one of them,

Re: Some sort of triumph?
Friggin el, There's some crap in my head They were before my time but i have come across them years ago, I wouldnt go to the shop in one, How we had a car industry with that shite i never know, I remember the first time i drove a Toyota carolla about 1974, it was like getting in a time machine, All the switches and the gear lever was just so right, then getting in a HC Viva and the gear lever coming off in my hand and they continued to fall off as long as i can remember,
We did a fleet of them for BSM so we had to show the instructors how to put them back incase it happened on a lesson, Jap cars are still the best so we havent learned anything in the past 60 years or so, Mayflower named after the famous ship, should have called it the Titanic

Re: Some sort of triumph?
Yeh lot of barns out there The truth of the matter is if you want an old car buy one thats original or some other fool has restored it. Say you give £10k for a car that you see advertised for £20k, Then you spend £10k doing it up ? Whats that all about Buy the best you can, Its cheaper in the long run, and you get to use it instead of working on it,
Also if you pay absolute top dollar for a condition 1 car you have more chance of getting your dollars back, There is the exception -No fecker wants a Mayflower,

Recently bought sliding rear windows from Morris Traveller off the bay, both sides, 99p. Just yesterday 4 sliding windows from Landrover hardtop, £30. Flat glass for boats innit.

Re: Some sort of triumph?
Looks like a nice flat windscreen on that Mayflower too, :puzzled: probably a bit narrow though.
