€3.20 I think the fare starts at in Tenerife, about 1km you get for that. They spend most of their time on the Golf with a rag in hand cleaning them. Feck all else to do really.

I seem to remember reading somewhere a long time ago (probably Doreen's forum) that unless you actually own your own taxi everything goes to the owner and the driver only gets about €1 per fare so have to rely on tips - that is probably why some of them try to rip of the punters.

We were getting a family of 5 doing a 6km spin @ 10pm for 3.60 euro in Lanzarote. Can't remember the prices in Tenerife but they were similar. Unbelievable value imo.
