We did have thunder and a bit of rain earlier and now the cloud is so thick and grey there is sod all to see. Certainly no sun.

How long ago did we ( in the British Isles) have a near total eclipse? 20 years ago?? I remember distinctly that it went cold around midday in the middle of the summer

I was up Teide when it started, we came down through the thickest cloud ever. It then rained for about 6 hours and the roads were like black ice.
