Not that I believe it will ever recover it's status in the world but our economy, supported by those that actually do go to work and pay taxes, simply will never be able to support the ever increasing number of imigrants and unemployed/unemployable that we have here.

We let the Eastern Europeans in even BEFORE they were full E.U. members. Now, I've nothing against the Poles etc and indeed they were necessary to keep the economy going when things were good, but if you are not a citizen of a country and you are not CONTRIBUTING to that country i.e. paying taxes, then you should go home. I wouldn't expect to go to the UK and draw the dole as I'm Irish. Its bad enough here without exporting our problems and causing other taxpayers pain.

Could somebody tell me what the UK gets from the EU ?, Besides shafting,
