Computer operating system/Ubuntu Empty Computer operating system/Ubuntu

    Post by Daryn Thu 14 Nov 2013 - 15:11

Not sure if you will remember but I have a dual booted my computer with two operating systems windows7 and Ubuntu

For those that followed that thread and tried it Ubuntu has just done a new update to version 1310, I have to say I had a few problems with Ubuntu but the new update seems to have ironed that all out.

They are working on a big change/update for next year. Its much faster than windows, especially when surfing the net although its a bit more complicated for installing some programmes.

Anyway here is a couple of screen shots to show you how it looks..............

This one shows you what its like when surfing the net..........

I love the speed of it and the look of it and Im still learning how to use it lol but for a free operating system I believe it blows windows away.

Thanks for that Daryn, me and Reg will look into it and let you know. Always think of you when I see programs about drunken British (and mostly Irish obviously) youths in Magaluf. One of our members is currently flying the flag (Scottish, just as bad) in Benidorm. Hope he doesn't disgrace us.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhh good luck with windows 8, I hated it, got to be the worst operating programme ever, I got rid of it and installed windows 7, I mentioned yesterday on MF that their is now an update for windows 8 but people are still having problems, why the hell do they rush these expensive programes out without fully testing first.

TBH I think windows 8 was really made for touch screen computers, god I used to get sooooooooooooooooo frustrated with it.
