The answer is yes although ( I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong ) clocks are not put back an hour for winter time. I.E. it is an hour later in Tenerife than in the UK at this time of year

I thought it was an hour ahead cos one of the other forums was showing that difference. Teach me to be looking on other forums.

all countries in the EU change their clocks at the same time - this is a directive and cannot be changed ..
there are three official time zones
WET western european time - the time that only TENERIFE and PORTUGAL are on
CET central european time - the time SPAIN/FRANCE/GERMANY/POLAND are on
EET eastern european time - the time FINLAND/ROMANIA/GREECE are on
the UK is NOT on WET .it follows the SAME time but is in fact GMT/BST and change be changed without referring to the EU

the time ZONE in IRELAND is IST (irish standard time) and is under IRISH law and even if same time as UK can be changed if they wish ...there is currently a bill to change time to the same to CET ,that would add an hour to current time ..3rdforum wrote:and Ireland!

That bill has been put on the back burner along with a load of other good ideas.
