The road east of the Martianez tunnel in the municipality of Puerto de la Cruz, last night remained closed to traffic due to several landslides. The landslides occurred near the tunnel exit and Council's road workers would try to re-open early Sunday morning. It would seem nobody was injured.

Most new road tunnels in france dont have overhangs or anything like landslips, the exit and entrance are away from the actual mountain or hill, Which make a whole lot of sense,
On the way to santa cruz there is bits of fencing to stop rocks falling on the road, not good at all, scary even
