Costa Adeje Gran Hotel

It was suggested I post a link on the forum to a review I did of the Costa Adeje Gran Hotel from our last visit in 2011, so here it is. I know some of you may have seen it already as you are members of the forum.

Cracking review. Stunning place. The whole piece will give anyone thinking of staying there, a great "feel" for the place.      

They still got the all over tan area on the roof...

Didn´t think they had one of those Adam, thought that was the Noellia.

I have friends who stayed at the Costa Adeje Gran and they loved it, they are not short of a bob but said it was a very reasonable price for a 5 star so if you get everything on offer for a 5 star why do so many complain about the location. Instead of mentioning about the hill to get to the coast, I would be more put off by the bloody market twice a week!!!

I have only looked around the reception area and had a meal there a long time ago and thought is was first class.

Yip, two small areas either side of the roof pool...

Thought the food was a bit basic for the quality of the hotel...

But some of the views were ok..........

Adam, you may be thinking of the Fanabe Costa Sur which has a segregated area on the roof.

Gypsy, I have to agree with your friends, it is excellent value for a 5 star, it is not much more expensive than some 4 star hotels (the Fanabe Costa Sur being one) and the difference in the hotels is like night and day. The Costa Sur is in our opinion an OK hotel but not much more than that.

No, defo that one, as said two walled off areas either side of the roof pool...

Extract from an Easyjet add...

"The hotel has an extensive area with two adults swimming pools, one of them heated, and another heated pool for children. No, other half kept me well covered in lotion, didnt want to spoil her holiday did she...

Oh, and the bedrooms, wall to wall mirrors, sure I've got some pictures,,, err, well, maybe not...
