Scientists Develop Technology To Double Rechargable Battery Life

This piece started out about rechargeable batteries but turned into a lecture on how shite electric cars were.

They just ain't practice, lets assumed everyone had to change overnight to electric cars, and the infrastructure was there to meet the demand...

1. Power points at every parking bay, that's street parking, multy story, supermatkets, etc...

2. Motorway service areas doubled, quadrupled, whatever in size as everyone will need to pull in to charge up on long journeys.

3. The AA, RAC etc multiply their recovery fleet, or have vans with generators in them to assist the increase in flat battery breakdowns...

4. Oh, and where's the electricity coming fron, more power stations...

Look at the railways, millions spent on electrifying lines, yet probably more diesel driven trains run on them than electric, why, their flexible and can be used anywhere...

Couldn't agree more.

Oh, plus more lawyers and courts,,, to handle the personal injury claims for tripping over the charge leads...

Mind you that said Clarkson test drove a not bad one on Top Gear last night...

Clarkson was driving some sort of battery/engine McLaren, think he said it was a V8, combined power output was somewhere in the 900bhp area, think the battery charge took it about six miles or something as stupid...

Said its performance was absolutely mental, best thing he'd driven...

Its the future you fecking petrol heads, get your heads out of the sand.  

Yeah, and you can plug your battery boat in to an offshore wind turbine, it's the future...
