They just ain't practice, lets assumed everyone had to change overnight to electric cars, and the infrastructure was there to meet the demand...
1. Power points at every parking bay, that's street parking, multy story, supermatkets, etc...
2. Motorway service areas doubled, quadrupled, whatever in size as everyone will need to pull in to charge up on long journeys.
3. The AA, RAC etc multiply their recovery fleet, or have vans with generators in them to assist the increase in flat battery breakdowns...
4. Oh, and where's the electricity coming fron, more power stations...
Look at the railways, millions spent on electrifying lines, yet probably more diesel driven trains run on them than electric, why, their flexible and can be used anywhere...
