All the UK TV channels have disappeared from the hotel TV. I read something about them being transmitted from a different satellite but not much else, hotel staff say they are working on it.

1.it aint raining or cloudy
2.you cant run a dish at 110%for long the LNB fails
3. 2E is at 28.3595 ..it will end up at 28.17 ....but that could take weeks so dish is moving every day ...

they were advised to go for that size dish to cover RAIN MARGIN ...that is picture not affected by any amount of weather or cloud .people will find out how that works this friday during a WIPEOUT storm ..

for technical reasons there is a gap between the satellites,so it is impossible to line up the weak signals of two satellites on one dish ...

looking at the two new satellites
ASTRA2E has 23 transponders active OUT OF 48
it has not activated its MIDDLE EAST TRANSPONDERS (12) yet
ASTRA2F has 16 TRANSPONDERS OUT OF 48
and two WEST AFRICAN ones ..
the two satellites to be retired are ASTRA2A (running 20 TRANSPONDERS )
and EUTELSAT 28A running 10 TRANSPONDERS ..
ASTRA2C id due to be relocated here after 1N arrives at 19E in two weeks ..so expect it around end march ,,,
