    When OH goes to the UK next month he will be taking my daughter to Ypres - I don´t do wars but the ceremony at the Menin Gate every night is very touching.

    Gypsy don't mean to worry you or anything like that but did you hear about the people killed yesterday  by undiscovered bombs left over from WW1 at Ypres, they were clearing land for a car park or new building when it exploded killing 2 injuring 1 

    Was on the news its in BBC news site

    yeah, I saw that as well. Can't figure out how come that ground wasn't checked before any excavations though.

    Yes, he had seen that too on the news, but we did our battlefield walking years ago, this time they will stick to the main roads, stand by the Menin Gate, watch the ceremony. Kate will probably shed a tear as it is very moving and then next day hit the chocolate shops in Bruge and then Auchan on the way back to the ferry.
