ATMs in Golf Del Sur
Are they many/any? Will I have to go to the San Blas CC to get one? Do most of them accept Visa debit cards?

We used to have one at Green Park but its gone, some bugger probably nicked it. Plenty at San Blas and Visa cards are fine. There might be one by the strip where aberdeen steak house is but cant be sure. I use cash personally, still welcome everywhere.

I meant to tell you about the A.T.Ms in G.D.S Dermot , don't use them, we did and there was a £20 difference between Banco Marche in G.D.S. and Santander in L.C.s that was on £500 withdrawals will be different for you using euros ,we used the one next to the Chinese restaurant in Aguamarina

Thanks for the heads up Bill. I'm hoping that it wont cost any extra than at home. Going to confirm that with my bank in next few weeks.

There isn't any point in me bringing a wad of cash Cam if the machines over there don't cost me anything extra. I've always brought all cash with me up til now, but I've never felt comfortable leaving all the money in a safe in the apartment.

It won't cost you anything Dermot, the quickest way to the A.T.M is to use the Winter Gardens as a shortcut ,just cut through from the side you are on and go past the bowling green and it brings you out across the road from the A.T.M, it will save you 20 mins each way

Re: ATMs in Golf Del Sur
any bank account in the EURO ZONE can not charge you more then it would cost you to take out money in your own country ...it is against the single currency agreement ...to pay any bill in a EURO country can be done simply at any bank for a small cost ...we paid a BAVARIAN ELECTRIC bill in caja canaries for the fee of 60c

From Dublin. We tend to use the ATM in the clubhouse or the ATM when you walk through Winter Gardens & across the road beside Golden Bay Chinese.

Re: ATMs in Golf Del Sur
Plenty of restaurants around the Golf. Depends on what you like to eat but these are some of our favourites:
Rendezvous, Winter Gardens
Tapas 'N Chill, Aquamarina
Sakura Tappanyaki, Aquarmarina
Golf Park Pizza, Ocean Park
Dabda, Ocean Park
The Great Wall, San Blas
Kohinoor Indian, San Blas
We also Los Abrigos (5 min drive or around €5 in taxi). A real favourite for is in Los Abrigos is La Scarpetta.
Hope this helps
