Hubby had same problem with knee and it was a lot easier when in the sun in Tenerife, but as you say that isnt always possible. Anyway rather than have an operation he has tried the Apos therapy, which fortunately he is covered for by Bupa as they recognise it as a valid alternative to a knee op.Blyth Spirit wrote:Tried them and Cod Liver oil for years but the arthritis at point where injection into knee only worked for 2 weeks before it wore off
Now on 500mg of Naproxen and they work make the knee so much more free less stiff and improved the mobility of it but really don't like taking tablets
As mentioned the heat abroad works wonders living in a warmer climate would undoubtedly work but that won't happen
No, not at all. He had to re-visit clinic a few times as there are sort of two discs on base of each shoe that are adjusted gradually on each visit. They then assess his gait by computer whilst he walks apparently so they can tell how he is improving.3rdforum wrote:Did that not give him a lot of back pain by realigning the way he walked??
Yes, I am usually a bit cynical I'm afraid, but it has worked for him. The clinic say they have an 85% success rate with this treatment. Obviously you are assessed first to check you are suitable for this treatment but it has certainly saved him an operation.3rdforum wrote:Its amazing how something so simple can make such a difference especially when you consider that there is no medication involved!
You could ask the question on the Apos therapy facebook page whether anything they do could help you?3rdforum wrote:Don't worry. There are a few here with different maladies at the moment. The reason I asked is that I've arthritis of the spine so if i have the wrong footwear, I can be in agony.
