Looking at Dermo's photos of the Jungle Park got me thinking...what is your favourite attraction in Tenerife? I really liked the penguinarium in Loro Parque! The first time a saw snow falling through the hole in the roof and a big Emperor penguin standing underneath it!

Loro Parque for me as well. Well worth the money. The killer whale and dolphin shows are great. You could easily pass 5 or 6 hours there.

I have done a total U turn on this one. I used to love it and particularly the Whale Shows, but since watching Blackfish and the trainer who lost his life I won´t go back and won´t recommend it. If animals are not living in suitable conditions then 'accidents' like this will happen.

It is sooooooo sad seeing huge creatures like them stuck in a pool when they are used to swimming 1000's miles. Its one of them though, dont want to see them locked up but do want to see them close up.

Makes you think twice that video. What is the grief about the connection ( or lack of) between Loro Parque and Seaworld?
The trainers don't go in the water with the whales anymore, since the accident.

Know what you mean Daryn, I love to see them but the size of the pools they have would be like us living in a kennel, so sad. And such magnificent creatures.

I have it on good authority that Poker Chip have had an overhaul and will be ready to go out whale watching again from Puerto Colon in about 4 weeks. They have spent thousands and will now be providing quality food. (TD have you a contact with Neil ?) Anyway small numbers on a nice little boat to get up close. That's the way to do it.
