Catalan Independence Referendum suspended

So not only Scotland feeling miffed.  Spanish court suspends  self-rule vote

Well, where does it stop,,, I want self rule for my street...

spanish is only taught in CATALONIA as a foreign language
the only ppl the spanish state have on the ground is a few at ports and airports and are not allowed on the public roads in their patrol cars and have to go home in plain cloths ..

so its a bit hard to stop em of they want a republic ...

the OFFICAL POLICE website is ONLY IN CATALAN/ENGLISH ..not a spanish word in sight ,,,

You can tell that when you are in places like Girona you will hardly ever see an English menu and hardly anyone speaks any English. They are very proud and everywhere you look you see the Catalan flag. I like that bit of the country.

problem is its over 50% of spains GDP ,its not like losing scotland to the UK ,its like losing LONDON and the south east to the UK ..

about 20% of GDP I think
