Someone asked the question on the other forum, cant remember ever seeing a river, floods yes, but no rivers. No salmon and no trout. Nobody has taken the piss yet but then again we are all banned. Lucky for them then innit.

I remembered there was something a couple of months ago but I don´t know if that is fly or anything else as I don´t understand fishing, but there are a couple of logos along the bottom of the poster so they might be fishing clubs. It might be worth Googling the names.

Jigging is what you do to catch Mackerel, bobbing the rod up and down so the lures attract them, thick feckers always bite.

Tying flies would be an art lost on Kev, learning how to weave a syrup might be to his advantage though.

Oooo, burnt a load of carpet tiles yesterday, plus 3 old carpets, they all got flooded awhile back. Helped the boat go up. Took me 3 go's to start it burning, petrol twice, whoosh, then just smoke, then I used about half a litre of kerosene depriving the Merc of 5 miles of cruising and that did the trick.

She came round and complained, I said I had a hose at the ready, she said she would call the fire brigade if I didnt put it out, just ashes now, feck all left, hedge and her bungalow intact, didnt spot any firemen......

Vincent I can splice rope or wire, tie a dogs cock, monkey fist, whip, tie most knots, including ones that are dying out like a sheep bend, sheep shank, carrick bend, bowline etc.....so tying a fly would be a doddle.
