Just picked this up from F/b but there is no link to any news article so wonder is this another new ruling in time for election.

<<<And from today it will be the right of new parents (in England at least) to split 50 weeks parental leave between them. Young people seem determined to make themselves unemployable. <<<

50 Weeks paid leave????!!! Eileen got 26 weeks, the last 20 of which were at 50% of pay. I was allowed 3 weeks unpaid. If its 50 weeks paid, then a parent could more or less be on permanent paternity leave for years ( if they wanted a big family ).

A few years back my brother in law drove round a bend one morning and found one sitting in the middle of the road. He went to the cops about it and was told that they would keep it for a year and a day and if no one claimed it, then he could keep it. BIL said fine, you lift it out of my van. Copper goes "maybe you should keep it at home and we'll let you know if anyone makes an enquiry". BIL's brother took the loan of it 6 month later and he hasn't seen it since Not seen this in the news 3025408739
