Meanwhile, back on topic, if Jack Charlton had run for President here at any stage from 1996 to 2010, I'm pretty sure he would have got it. ( He could have if he wanted to, as he was granted Irish citizenship, probably the highest honour an Irish government can bestow. Jack said he valued that passport on the same level as his world cup medal). He would have made a great leader, no bullshit, calls a spade a spade and if you were talking shite, he'd tell you to feck right off
