We are supposedly the "poster boys" for how the enforced bail out countries can benefit if we tow the ECB/IMF/ German banks line. Below is the reality. The winter vomiting bus outbreaks are at an all time high due to hospitals not having the money to provide adequate cleaning. There has been a moratorium on the recruitment of new health staff for 5 years and the new entrants/students are being offered a salary 30% less than previous entrants. There is an oncology consultant post that has been advertised 3 times in the last year because they didn't get ONE applicant. The result is cancer sufferers having to travel up to 6 hours ( some of them by public bus) to Dublin for an appointment that may take 3 to 6 months to arrange. If you had suspected cancer, would you wait 3-6 months??? Anyway, the story below is about a 101 year old patient having to wait on a trolley in A&E
