Wondering where the kids will end up to watch the fireworks I will probably fight my way through the crowds to Blackheath. Innit fun watching other peoples money going up in smoke or is everybody to old for such things..

They Had a bonfire in my village last night and fireworks, it cost £2,200 I was told, lasted less than 15 minutes. On a good day I can do sex that lasts for 5 minutes, worth all of £733........

Firework displays are not as good today as they were years ago. I shall stay in where it is safe.

Re: Fireworks on the 5th
My dog was originally trained as a guide dog, then got an asbo and then went to a rescue centre 4 homes etc, due to his initial training he doesn't batter an eyelid to fireworks. I took him for a stroll last night and a big bang went off, he didn't even look up, just carried on sniffing, stupid mutt.Mermaid wrote:Firework displays are not as good today as they were years ago. Students are poor people, Always crying the poor tale, I sort their bins out, glass in one etc, Its a bit much for them to work out, Always full of vodka and wine bottles, poor things, Now they have taken up sending money in to the sky, Poor my arse, I shall remind them next rent increase,

Re: Fireworks on the 5th
Two sons and granddaughters have gone to a bonfire at a country pub. So the kids can play on the swings and whatever, Away from the fire, But can watch the fireworks, Probably £5 a pint or something too, I have my own when doing the accounts,

Re: Fireworks on the 5th
Reminds me of a bonfire night years ago at the son in laws, big fire, nice guy on the top (weren't me then), so he pours petrol on and whoosh, all alight, just then we could all see his cat in the middle of the fire! Luckily it jumped down ok and ran off. Would not have been a pretty sight for all the kids had it been barbequed.

Re: Fireworks on the 5th
When the kids were little we went to a display at their school in Loughton. I was stood with my daughter on my shoulder when a catherine wheel went flying off its nail, and where did it land? In a box of bloody fireworks! Well it was funny at first, like WW3 starting up, then rockets started wizzing horizontally across the playground straight at us, Patsy's yelling 'RUN', nowhere to run to of course so I just stood there waiting for the impact. We were okay but one woman had a rocket wedged in her wellie so ambulance turned up to sort her out. Quickest display ever, I dont think they done anymore after that!
