I would always go for San Miguel on draught while in Tenerife, but not many places stock it ( only one in Golf Del Sur to my knowledge) so Dorada became my second choice over the years. I don't know what they have done to it since last year, but they have ruined it imo. There is WAY TOO MUCH gas in it. Several times, I have had to go back with the pint because the head was still increasing while I was drinking it, and spilling over the side of the glass. And because it was so gassy, I could only drink 3 or 4 of them max, in a night. That Alhambra stuff is awful, which leaves one other which I cant remember. Is it just me or does anyone else have the same problem??

Re: Beer in Tenerife
Hate Dorada, tropical and alhambra ,all crap, always go for Estrella Damm or Galicia, Cruz Campo is also nice, San Miguel in bottle is good too, one of the main reasons we go to the Bitacora is they serve great Estrella Damm on tap

Hard to find Estrella on tap as well Bill. We found a place called Rover's a few doors down from Scampi's opposite the Vistasur. That had nice san Miguel for 1.50 a pint. I ended up buying pint bottles of Magners ( Bulmer's in Ireland, not to be confused with English Bulmer's, different company completely). They are imported ffrom Ireland 3000kms away amd still cost 1.75 euro less than what I would pay back home ( 3.75 v 5.50 )
