Knew two joiners who were working in the synagogue in Manchester, they went out on the piss one lunchtime ,went back to the synagogue, fell asleep, when they woke up someone had nicked their tools

One of our depots (Leeds area), got the builders in doing some pretty major work in one of the warehouses, they've set up shop in a portocabin in a corner of the yard... Van pulls up at door to warehouse, two guys jump out, yellow vests, hard hats etc, ask one of our guys to move a truck off the loading bay so they can get their van in, our same member of staff helps them load cement mixer, various hand tools etc in to their van, tea break over the real builders return from their portocabin,,, Oops.........

Had to go over it yesterday to get to that fringing hospital, still down to a contra flow on one lane, that's three months now...
Think it was after the Japanese tsunami or a major earthquake somewhere, whole section of road taken out,,,, they had it replaced in a couple of days...
