That's a shame. More often than not we built our own holidays and used private lets. Bit more comfortable, washing machine etc. I'm not a great fan of touristic hotels with maids coming everyday and you had to get up earlier than you wanted, private lets let you sleep as long as you liked.

Dont panic Cam, Their's still places to let. Just not on residential, Trouble is them Vanhoganstrasen are going to put their rents up now, Supply and demand you see,

Once did B&B in the arona gran for two nights, £300, Mmm, Some body was staying in ours for 6 weeks so we had to get out, Stayed there before, It isnt all that,

AS far as I know, the Canarian Minister of Tourism is ex chairman of the hotel lobby group ( called Ash something). Probably explains why this crackdown is happening. November 15 is the date when the first appeal is to be decided apparently

I dont think they will force people in to hotels ?, I can understand them wanting correct taxes to be payed though, Seems a bit heavy handed to me, Could be worse, We could own on Mirador etc,
