Sure I told this one before on here, we're putting up three offices in a warehouse, don't need planning permission for that cos it's inside an existing industrial building, calls in the local builder we use, we chalk out the shape of the offices on the warehouse floor, crosshatching where doors and windows are to be... Few days later the builder turns up, drops off a load of breeze blocks, mortar and one worker, worker sets about laying the breeze blocks to the floor plan,,, I drop in a hour or so later, he's got the basic floor plan set out one level of breeze blocks high, I note there are no gaps for doors but think he may have just done that to space out the breeze blocks correctly... A few hours later I have another look in, breeze blocks are about three feet high now, still no gaps for doors,,, I think to myself maybe this is how they do it nowadays, build the wall then use a still saw to cut out the door and window gaps,,, so I say this to the guy,,, "Doors and windows, doors and windows,,, the boss said feck all about doors and windows"...
