She's been cleared Dave and defeated a "no confidence" vote instigated by the Torys on the 4th March before ANY of the two enquirys were concluded and you don't believe it was a witch hunt. Now, lets see the Torys ask for the resignation of Boris Johnson, Priti Patel, Matt Hancock and Robert Jenrick, ALL of whom WERE found guilty of breaking the ministerial code. Bunch of feckin' hypocrites. Torys make me sick.

Cam you hate the Tories as much as I hate the SNP bunch of bottom feeders.
Searcher when will the SNP tell the truth about Indy and will Kranky regain her memory
The fact is all politicians are not to be believed

Re: Scottish Independence
I recall way back in Thatchers time ,a shopkeeper in Dalkeith decided to stand as a tory councillor his shop closed in 4 months and he moved south of the border never to surface again , as you said all politicians bend the truth , but this tory government have it down to a fine art

Re: Scottish Independence
Good luck on that independence thing then. At 66 I am still learning history which of course repeats. The Irish thought they were on to a good thing kicking the Brits out only to have the Catholic church take over producing decades of misery and turning the country backwards. The communist SNP will have the same effect on Scotland. I of course wish you luck. Europe dont need or want you in their club but be my guest, carry on.

Re: Scottish Independence
I have just been during some reading and see now we are going into green ways for all our power with renewable energy etc. What will happen when no one wants the oil and gas which Scotland will be so reliant on for income?? Still with all the hot air and wind flying about up north the wind turbines will never stop revolving for years and need constant maintenance and replacing.
Must be room for a new growth industry somewhere there.

Re: Scottish Independence
You have to think in the long term years ahead not what the situation is in the next few years. Just look at the coal mines, ship building, steel, blacksmiths etc all thought they would have a job for life until it all went down the drain. You need to think about your grandkids future when you take big choices which will affect them more than ourselves as they will live with the consequences .

Re: Scottish Independence
Our system up here is designed so no one gets a majority unlike the "first past the post" (FPTP) system England uses. (I wonder why not). We have 2 votes up here: There are 129 seats up for grabs. 73 are Constituency seats (FPTP). Then there are the "List" votes, these are distributed among the parties according to vote share. There are 56 seats available here, 8 regions with 7 MSPs in each. These are the votes Alex Salmond is going after. Remember the system is designed so that the more constituency seats you win, the less list seats you will get. The SNP only got 4 list seats in 2016. Salmond wants to win more seats in the list votes for the pro-indy parties, giving a "super-majority" of pro-indy seats in Parliament. In 2011, the SNP "broke" the system, by gaining only 54 constituency seats and voters voting SNP 1 + 2, the SNP gained 16 "list" votes, giving them a majority in Parliament of 70 seats. But that was a one-off fluke as shown in 2016. Anyhoo, Salmond is not contesting the constituency seats, only the list ones and as I say, the SNP only had 4 of those last time. Complicated innit? I'd love to see Westminster use this system, after all they foisted it on us.
