Badminton season has started.

I'm the oldest of the 4 of us at 56. One's 54 and the other 2 are 50 so it's not as if some young sprog has us diving for forehand smashes and the like. (Well, sometimes I do).

Feckin dangerous sport badminton! I lost some peripheral vision in my left eye cos of it. Partner went for a smash and connected with my eye, blood everywhere, running down my arm. It was like a horror movie! Strange thing was, I didn't feel any pain but that's to be expected cos I'm tough as nails!

Yeh, I lost both legs and one arm playing badminton, I said from that day on, Never again.

I see in your avatar that you've no legs!

You know that bit where your arm meets your shoulder, well it's feckin' aching! Too much smashing and big clears last night. I've had to take a couple of Ibuprofen as I could hardly lift my arm to have a shower. Next badminton's Monday so that gives me a few days to heal up. Crap growing older innit?

Well i'm all in favour of exercise, But Thinking your still 20 can do some damage, Same with them runners, You never see a happy jogger, So it needs to be a no impact exercise, Like swimming or walking, I had a busy on yesterday, And today i'm paying for it, I feel like ive been run over, I'm 57 and no getting away from it,
