I very nearly got involved with that sidecar racing with my friend Alan who i have known since we were 10, but lack of money in the late 70's stopped us, 
I would trust him with my life but others who you dont know can kill you, had a few trial runs and boy was it exciting,
being close to death usually is tho, parachute was another

I'm positive any other sporting event in the world would have been cancelled after 5 deaths at an event...

those bikes go by the end of the road my brother lives on. I think they average 3 deaths every 2 years.

Two bike riders dead already this week within my local area. And another woman went in the river at the end of my road last Saturday. Dead too. Been reading news online. 
Also foreign lorry driver imprisoned for stopping on A1 in fast lane to pee on central reservation. As he pulled away and cops saw him he was rolling a fag. 4 times over the limit.
