I turned on my pc this morning to find it was completing an update. When it had finished and restarted, I found that I had no internet connection and any diagnostics tools wouldn't work ( got message" Diagnostic policy not registered or something). The system looked like it tried to revert to Win 7. The start button wouldn't work so I couldn't get into the control panel. Task Manager just showed a blank screen. Start button then worked when I right clicked it but showed a list of written apps instead of icons. Managed to open a few files, so I had to go into Curry's to buy an external harddrive so I could transfer over all my photos and documents etc. I then had to google on my phone "how to factory reset" via the command prompt. So, a word of warning. Save yourself 5 hours of faffing about and make sure you check the latest updates before downloading. I've had to set my pc back to factory setting and have lost about 60 apps etc that I had downloaded.
