JUST TAKEN THIS FROM FACEBOOK.
CAUGHT! AND CONGRATS!
A very good friend & officer of the local police in Arona who was off duty & four National Police arrested L.E.H. (names can not be published on social media until conviction), a British citizen who is linked to their involvement in a crime of attempted murder which occurred at a bar in Los Cristianos.
Local unions of the Police (CSIF, SIPC, CCOO and UGT) made public yesterday its "sincerest congratulations and thanks" to the agent who had finished his shift in the early hours of Sunday morning. After finishing his service at 0:34 hours in Veronicas, Las Americas, he noticed the presence of the detainee.
This agent called for back up from the local police of Arona since this individual had been observed in a bar called O'Neill's, Playa de Las Americas. Unfortunately, the other 2 patrols were attending other emergency calls & could not confirm ETA. Therefore, he appealed to the Commissioner of the National Police in Playa de las Americas, who immediately sent a UPR Team (Unit Prevention and Response).
There had been a warrant out for L.E.H. Last month two men, who fled in a red Audi vehicle, with UK registered plates, stabbed two Brits in an area of Los Cristianos, where bars are frequented by English. Both were seriously injured and one of them received at least eight stab wounds.
The stabbings occurred in Avd. San Francisco, Los Cristianos and since warrants were issued, agents of the National Police and Local Police of Arona had tracked the two suspects.
One of the wounded, aged 32, was taken to University Hospital of the Canary Islands, while the other, 45, was admitted to the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria.
LEH - Awaiting trial.
