M25 tunnel charge. Last time I used it I registered for pay as you go. My van and Patsys car, which followed mine through. Got a fine in the post so sent on-line message saying take the £3 from my account you muppets, or words to that effect. Got letter this morning, no apology, just, seeing as its my first offence I can pay just £3 but not on-line, only by post or ring them. Strangely Patsys car hasnt been charged either but no fine or letter, maybe it failed to read the number plate as Patsy always drives about 6 foot behind my back bumper as she is scared of getting lost. Say you are foreign  Now can you imagine getting away with that in France or Spain. They have toll booths so you are forced to pay.

But the UK, naw, they might have to pay somebody to sit in a kiosk and collect cash. When I went through I had the money ready to pay but zilch.... nothing to say pay online.  It was only that night I got an email telling me I had until midnight to pay the fee or face a fine.  FFS what if I didn´t have access to the internet.

Ah, your doing it wrong, bit time back a friend who lived in Fife near Cam is booked on an early flight from Edinburgh to London with a work colleague, she resets her alarm from her normal wake up time to a bit earlier so as to catch flight, she makes a cockup resetting alarm so by the time she wakes up she's running late for catching flight,,, knowing she's gonna be in trouble with work if she misses the flight it's clothes flung on, case and tickets grabbed and in to car, she's got to cross the Forth Road Bridge which was toled at the time (it's free now being Scotland), she gets to tole booth, realises she's forgot purse in rush, so what she do,,, explain to guy in booth her predicament, NO, no time for that,,,, she jumps out of car, runs to car behind where guy has hand out of window with cash in it ready to pay grabs cash out of his hand shouting it's an emergency pays guy at booth and does one...

    Oh, she caught the flight...

You could quite conceivably drive through it without being aware its a toll. Couple of signs saying you have to pay by midnight the day after on line. Chances are quite high you have had to sit in traffic jam anyway just to get there. They should fecking pay me for the inconvenience. Used to be toll booths there, about 10 each side. You just chucked a quid in a basket type thing. Took about 5 seconds if that. Now its £2.50 for a car and the traffic is at least as bad. It is free between 10pm and 6am though. You come across a lot of slow moving vehicles at 9.55pm..... including me. Dart charge. 3025408739
