He made the effort to go to Donald Campbell's funeral at Coniston, It was over shadowed by 9,11 the day before so got very little press, It rained heavy all day, saw him at Goodwood the following weekend , I said to him it pissed it down at Coniston and he said yes it did were you there yes i said one of my hero's,he nodded and carried on singing books one of which i bought,
I really cant think of any others left like the those, poor bugger wont get a big funeral he deserves,feck
