Yesterday we spent most of the afternoon in the Angel Pub beer garden, sky above was blue and not a breath of wind, but if you looked in Saddleworth direction you could see an orangey haze...
Today woke up and pulled back the curtains and there was a haze all over the city, didn't suss at first what it was until I opened the window and the smell of burning grass hit you...
Throughout the day the density of the smoke has changed depending on the strength and direction of today's light breeze, about fifteen minutes ago visibility was down to about five hundred yards around my house, it's cleared a bit now with the haze hanging over the north west side of the city...
