You'd either love it or hate it, been here a week now loving it, it's like Spain 40 years ago, loads of old decrepit places with money being pumped in to modern bars/restaurants to bling the place up a bit, both old and new work, heading south for a few days next week in to a bit out of the main tourist area so will see what that's like, so once I've done a bit more time here can answer your question better, but at moment I'm loving it, long flight, long queue at paspopas control (2 hours), and the heat,/humidity took a couple of days of days to get in to, but the beer is cheap...
