I want to paint my bedroom...

I have just made some new curtains for our bedroom (as Micky wrecked the others going in and out of the window) Thing is our bedroom is pretty dark as there is a wall on the outer side of the passage which prevents the light entering the room.

The headboard is a mid brown colour and the curtains are now similar. I mostly use the cream coloured duvet as the others make the room dark again.

I am thinking of painting either the wall the bed is agaist or the whole room with a bright colour (it's dirty cream at the moment)

Most colours will go with brown so I was thinking perhaps bright green or turquoise, even orange although the bathroom is orange.

Any ideas?

p.s. how much is paint here Reg?

Cream, Its nice and warm looking, Price of paint , I bought some from a big shop on the right heading down to palm mar, A friend said i could get any colour, They mix it, So i thought play smart, Get a cheap white to cover the old paint, Apartment was 2 years old then, Then spend good money on good paint, I could see an evil glint in the womens eyes when she sussed i was English, (Dont know how as i can speak fluent bull Shite), Anyway i ended up having to paint the room 4 times, Crap paint Yeh ?.So paint it first with the white cheap stuff, Then make sure you get a named paint, Good quality, Or like me spend forever trying to make a silk purse with pigs ear paint, I wont be going there again, Bassas

Come on UD cream is boring, get adventurous I say! it's cream now and it just looks grubby to me

Cream is a safe colour, If you want adventurous do it red, But you say the room is dark, No choice is there, With cream you can change the look of the room by changing the quilt and curtains, You can swop about 3 or 4 times a year, Better than painting, And if you move you can take them with you, Even stick the curtains in another room,
You know it makes sense Del, Its the future,

UD a tin of paint is a lot cheaper than new curtains and quilts

A mauve to magenta colour or Turquoise will go very well with Brown. Turquoise is very refreshing with it and relaxing but as you live on the rock you do not need to worry that it is also a cold colour.
It should have the opposite effect and be cooling.

Be adventurous. Stick a pin in the colour chart and go with that

Know the shop you mean and agree, I much prefer the ferretería on the opposite side of the road (big green place) but Las Chafiras is good and all the signs are in English and they also mix it should you want something special. My kitchen is 'Barbie pink' !!

When I got my apartment, shoe box I mean, it was all white. I painted all the walls yellow and it looks ok, sort of sunny. Goes with the floor (light biege) furniture (pine) sofa (blue and yellow pattern) and Patsys hair (dyed).

Well I don't think I would need any more than 2 litres to do that one wall and two to do the other 3 in white as there are cupboards, a window and a door in them. Small room yes! We are thinking perhaps bottom left as I'm told the other two I quite liked are garish (he is probably right)
