Puerto de la Cruz is dead

Puerto de la Cruz is now officialy dead.
Among other 3rd worldish things that is happening here now they are doing a lot of needless construcion or should I say destruction EVERYWHERE in Puerto de la Cruz and in La Orotava.
Almost all the roads are closed and you cannot go anywhere and the malls are also closed.
All the public toilets have been destroyed and now they have closed and destroy the beach too.
So now Puerto de la Cruz DOESN'T HAVE A BEACH ANYMORE.
In fact it doesn't have anything anymore.
There isn't a street left where they are not destroying and is closed.
This is part of the strange behaivior the Tinerfenians have that they are so stupid that they don't even know what their doing.
There are a lot of things that needs to be repaired both in PUERTO and in La Orotava but they are neglecting all of those to go destroy everything that's still good and once they destroy them they can never finish it because they are too stupid to fix something anyway and that,s how these towns are getting run down to ruins.
I guess it's time to stop coming to Puerto and let them close all the hotels so they can get what they wanna.

Yes ,hope to have an update soon, mind you some of the hotels were long overdue for demolition anyway

No doubt they will remove many of the car parking spaces like they have in Las Americas making traffic congestion even worse.

10 years ago when I lived out there for a bit we hired a car and did a tour  of the island, stayed overnight in Puerto de la Cruz, it was dead back then...

2002-2003ish we stayed in Hotel Martianez. Really nice place then and we drank in Molly Malones near the harbour. it was owned by Des Reid, don't know if he's still there but we had some good nights in there.

I think so, you had to go downstairs to it...I believe the son runs it now. Don't know him.

If thats the one near the harbour on the cobbled street its still there. McDonalds has gone, no more cheap ice creams.
