Two sisters in their eighties have been rescued after spending three days trapped with their carer’s body in their flat in Zaragoza. EFE reported on Thursday that both have extremely limited mobility and were unable to reach any food during that time or contact anyone for help.
The dead man was the husband of one of the sisters, who appears to have died of natural causes.
A concerned relative called round to the flat on Sunday and heard faint groans coming from inside. She contacted another family member with a key, as well as the police and the fire brigade, and the sisters were found inside with the body.
Both women were disoriented and dehydrated, but have now been discharged from hospital.
